Welcome to the Cornerstone parent blog!

Amplified Student Ministries partners with parents by coming along side in helping students become disciples of Christ during their middle school and high school years. This blog is designed to keep parents up-to-date on what is happening in the ministry.

Frequently asked questions

What is the purpose of Amplified Student Ministries?
We seek to guide students through the journey of becoming a disciple of Christ who makes disciples. Guiding refers to being intentional as leaders as we teach and influence.
It is a journey in that the path is not straight and doesn't always work out the way we originally intend.
Becoming a disciple is key - we want to teach students what it looks like to be a disciple of Christ.
Finally, teaching students to make disciples nudges them away from a consumer mentality and toward a being a producer.

Where and when do you meet?
At Cornerstone Ministries, upstairs in the Zone.
Find the Zone by entering the main lobby, turn left outside the sanctuary, then right, and head to the back of the church.  Go up the stairs, and you'll find the Zone check-in station.
Amplified weekend worship for High School and Middle School students meets on Saturdays at 6 p.m. and Sundays at 9 and 11 a.m.

Wednesday evenings the High School (FUSION) and Middle School (JAM - Jesus and me) students meet separately from 7 - 8:15 p.m.

Which weekend service is best for my child to attend?
All of the weekend services are identical in content, but it is best to choose one service time and come habitually to that same service.  With a consistent pattern of attendance, small group leaders can connect with students on a deeper level.  If you have a conflict with your chosen service time, by all means come to the service that works in your schedule for the weekend.

How can parents get involved?
Parents may sign up to help in the Zone Cafe, Game Zone, Info Zone, or Worship Zone.  There are also opportunities to be small group leaders, attend retreats and mission trips, or help with special events.  Parents are also invited to attend parent seminars that are held twice each year.  Contact Ruth at studentinfo@cornerstonelive.net for more information.
